And then I stayed.

3 years ago today was my first day as an Au Pair. These are some of my very first pictures I took from my new “temporary” home. All of the pictures were taking while a was exploring the neighborhood for the first time.

The wonderful bike, that took my to all of my new favorite places. It was my host father’s but he let me borrow it, whenever I wanted. That will say, always!

The water was never so clear like on this day. At least that’s what I like to tell myself haha But I’m sure it kind of is like that. The first experience (of something wonderful) will always be the best. Or maybe I’m wrong.

Well, and then I stayed.

And I stayed a little bit longer.

And I’m still here!

So what will happen now?

I have no clue. But that’s totally okay :)

A bug’s life.

I’m usually not a big fan of insects. Their sound can be quite annoying (mosquitos!), they can ruin your peaceful picnic (wasps!) and they always happen to find their way into my eyes, nose or mouth when I’m on a bike.

But! I have to admit, they’re not all bad and actually quite interesting. Again, I’m glad my camera has a good zoom :)

I want to ride my bicycle.

I really really really want a bike! But bikes are expensive. Buhu. But you can always rent them, and that is what my brother and I did last weekend! Like an old couple, we were riding those bikes through Sweden’s nature. Yeeha! :D

And on our way to a cosy café we saw some elephants!!! In the meadow next to the bicycle path!

But that was just, because the circus was in town ;) But it still looked pretty weird. After we absorbed this distraction we found the perfect place to take a coffee: in a tower, 509 feet above the ground. That sounds cosy to me! And the view was spectacular…

I took all of these pictures with my phone and added them with this app called Snapseed. It’s a great alternative to a normal camera and even the app is so easy to use. I hope I’m not doing product placement right now ;)
