Just keep swimming.

When I visited the Ghost Hotel the other day I made sure to pass by this hidden gem before I went homewards. An old open air pool that had been closed since the late 70s and that might be taken down pretty soon. The water from the close by lakes is coming through the ground into the pool, fouling the water which makes it fail any health and hygiene test.

The ghost hotel.

In the middle of a forest, no proper street or path leading to the entrance, no signs, just the picture from google maps. It had to be somewhere around here. We left the car at the street and walked into the forest, past gigantic nettle plants and objects that people had left behind, until we saw the big concrete block.

Paris by bike.

Living in the “heart of Europe” brings a lot of benefits with it:  many different languages (which I love), short distance to a bunch of countries and interesting cities (for me that is also my hometown) and the great train station announcements that come in four languages! ;) And that’s why taking the bikes to Paris for a ride isn’t such a crazy idea after all.
